Beginner's guide to Argan Oil

Argan oil comes from the nut of the Argan tree which is native to Morocco and is known as 'liquid gold' for good reason. The trees themselves are known to live for between 150-200 years. The Argan kernels are extracted from the Argan nut by skillful Berber women, this task is arduous and is still not automated, it's done by hand.

This fast-absorbing, light oil is rich in essential fatty acids, Vitamin E and anti-oxidants.  These characteristics help with fighting and protecting the skin from free-radicals (minute particles which speed up the appearance of ageing).

Argan oil is a natural emollient (softens and smoothes skin). Its known to protect and moisturise the skin, its constituents include tocopherol, phenolic acid, carotenes, and essential fatty acids.

Known benefits of Argan oil include:

✔︎ Effective skin moisturiser with anti-ageing properties restoring skin elasticity.

✔︎ Vitamin E helps to repair dry, damaged skin preventing further dryness and irritated skin.

✔︎ Helps reduce the appearance of age spots and scars.

✔︎ Regulates the production of sebum, which causes acne, its use can help reduce further breakouts.
